| Equipment documentation provides valuable information regarding the equipment’s wiring requirements, specifications, and operating procedures. Comparing the site survey notes with the equipment documentation may provide clues to resolve a power quality problem. Equipment documentation may also be useful in determining if special wiring is required when installing new equipment. Be aware that the equipment documentation may not fully explain all of the wiring requirements in great detail. The best way to prevent a power quality issue is to always implement proper wiring and grounding practices (reference Appendix for Wiring and Grounding).
