Home Energy Challenge
Since 2007, Hawaiian Electric has sponsored this school-based competition that encourages elementary school students and their families to reduce home energy use.
Teachers Energy Resource Center
Educators in grades K-12 can supplement students’ learning with relevant, free and effective electricity and energy-related materials like DVDs, booklets, hands-on demonstration material, school presentations and more.
Presidential Award
For more than a decade, Hawaiian Electric has supported this program to recognize Hawaii’s outstanding educators in mathematics and science.
Career Development

Sun Power for Schools
Working with the Department of Education, Hawaiian Electric installs, operates and maintains small demonstration solar electric systems in select schools and provides accompanying renewable energy curriculum.
